Blue Bee
Hand embroidered thread painting of a blue bee resting on a leaf with a pale brown branch. This is one of my larger works stitched onto cream colored hemp silk fabric with cotton embroidery floss. This was shown in FiberWorks 2022 at 108 Contemporary in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the Best in Show exhibition at DNA Galleries in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, in 2022, and won Best in Show at the Paseo Members' Show in 2023. In 2024, Blue Bee won Third Place at the Woodlawn Needlework Exhibition and was exhibited at JRB Art at the Elms.
It's framed in a 14 inch by 16 inch vintage wooden frame under glass.
